Across the Narrows Day 2 - Coney Island

Here's another quick roundup:

Whirlwind Heat - Meh. Needs more practice.

McCrorie - Didn't play.

Gang Gang Dance - SUCKED. Left to go play at the Sony booth and pwned
Staten Island at Ratchet.

Dragonette - Interesting. I'd listen to it again. Toronto-based synth pop. Band members wore white suits.

The Raveonettes - Awesome as usual. Too short performance.

The Polyphonic Spree - They still freak me out with the matching choir robes. Good band and good vibes. Too bad it's for hippies. Highlight of the day: Elbowing a hippy trying to get in front of me to see the band.

Belle and Sebastian - Wasn't really interested in this band. Had some catchy tunes. Would listen to them again but definitely not one of my faves.

Beck - Not interested. Left after Loser (which I was shocked he played).

BTW: Paying a hooded sweatshirt for almost the price of a one day ticket is insane.

so disappointing to hear beck sucked! i had a huge crush on him back in the day...he rocked when he first started. maybe his new fam is slowing him down.

now i have turned my crushs from losers to mathematizers.
