wah oh wah oh waah
One of my favorite past times is going to the record store and just seeing it empty. In NYC, that's pretty rare so I'll settle for lack of annoying people at the Virgin Megastore. It appears that the Brunettes' Mars Loves Venus has finally appeared on the shelves. I giddily picked it up and discovered to my dismay that the cd was an import and thus it deserves a markup of $25.00. Was there a lock of hair from Brunette Heather in the album? NO. I eventually gave in and bought it anyway.
After grudingly picking up their album, I found Dr. Dog's cd! Imagine my surprise when I saw that they're playing again this Thursday in the Mercury Lounge and opening for Son Volt at the Bowery Ballroom on July 12th! Son Volt tickets have long been sold out but tickets are still available for their Thursday show.
