so I walk right up to you and you walk all over me
After hearing the Raveonettes last night, my left ear won't stop rinnging. Honestly, how many guitarists does a band really need? For the Raveonettes the answer is as many as they fucking want. I loved them even though they allowed Kmart to use one of their songs. If you haven't heard them before think Ronettes meets punk resulting into retro euphoria.

The Raveonettes - The Early Show - Mercury Lounge - April 27th, 2005
The weird thing about this duo is that they're Danish. I don't know whether I should be in awe or be embarassed by the fact that a Scandinavian band had to create such an interesting sound from a classic American style. The Shangri-Las are rolling over their graves. Some people have said that all their songs are just a continuation of the previous one, but I am infatuated with poppy melodies mixed with some badass guitar riffs.

Sune and Sharin rockin' out
I've already booked my ticket for their next show in June at Webstah. This is a band you should definitely see at a big venue.
