where the strippers go insane
I should be seeing Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter but I decided to just stay home and mope because I was not one of the chosen few to see beck's secret show yesterday. And no, it's not because I'm a huge Beck fan, it's just because I didn't get a ticket to scalp. In other news, I received Esquire's newest issue this weekend and imagine my surprise when I saw the Funny Joke from a Beautiful Woman Section. The beautiful woman in question was none other than the Raveonette's Sharin Foo!
Hopefully I'll manage to watch the Raveonettes and one of their shows in the city this month either on March 26th and 27th at the Mercury Lounge or at Southpaw on the 28th.
NB: The March 27th show is already sold out as the only Brooklyn band that can make their fans strip onstage (see video), Morningwood will be opening for them.
